What to Expect at The FIX Chiropractic

Before You Arrive
A little preparation helps us make the most of your first appointment. To save time and help us understand your situation, we recommend:
Bringing your insurance card, if applicable.
Wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.
Arriving a few minutes early to complete any paperwork.
Jotting down your symptoms, medications, diagnoses, and health history.
Our goal is to create a plan that feels realistic, effective, and tailored to you.

Your First Consultation
During your first visit, we’ll sit down with you to discuss your health history, your current symptoms, and how long you’ve been experiencing them. We want to understand not just where it hurts, but what may be contributing to the problem. Your evaluation may include:
A movement or walking exam.
Flexibility and range-of-motion testing.
Leg length or posture checks.
A straight leg raise test, if needed.
Same-day adjustments.
We use this information to better understand your condition and decide what kind of care is most appropriate.

Building Your Care Plan
After your initial evaluation, we’ll explain what we found and talk through your options. Your treatment plan will be based on your symptoms, your overall health, and your goals for recovery. Your plan may include:
Chiropractic adjustments.
Supportive therapies, depending on your needs.
At-home exercises or movement guidance.
Lifestyle and wellness recommendations to support healing.
Our goal is to create a plan that feels realistic, effective, and tailored to you.

Your First Adjustment
If an adjustment is appropriate during your first visit, we’ll explain what to expect before beginning. You’ll be positioned comfortably on the table, and the adjustment will be performed using the technique that best fits your diagnosis and care plan.
You may hear a pop or feel a quick release during the adjustment. That is normal, and many patients feel relief, improved movement, or a sense of looseness afterward. If any additional testing is needed before treatment, we’ll let you know clearly and walk you through the next steps.

After Your Visit
It’s common to feel a little sore or have mild stiffness or a headache for a short time after your adjustment. This usually fades with rest, water, and light activity. After your visit, we recommend:
Staying hydrated.
Keeping moving with low-impact activity like walking.
Following any home instructions we provide.
Letting us know if symptoms do not improve as expected.
We want you to leave your visit feeling confident, supported, and clear on what comes next.
